The Commission on Investigation organized a workshop for human rights on crimes against humanity in Iraq
The Commission on Investigation and Evidence Gathering (CIEG), in collaboration with the German organization GIZ, and Ludwig Boltzmann Institute (BIM) organized a workshop for human rights on crimes against humanity in Iraq including Sinjar and Ninewa Plain attended by Vice governor of Duhok Mr. Bahzad Ali Adam. At the outset, there was a presentation by BIM for human rights on its experience in investigating in the former Yugoslavia and the enhancement of means of cooperation with the Iraqi institutions on crimes against humanity perpetrated by ISIS and how to  prosecute the accused before national and European courts.
Furthermore, the Documentation and Geographic Information System (GIS) team showcased  CIEG model utilized to gather evidences. The attendees exchanged views and debated means of future cooperation.
