Workshop on International Criminal Law with Open Society Justice Initiative

From 17 to 19 of November 2019, CIGE hosted a training for its staff on International Criminal Law, delivered by international legal experts from Open Society Justice Initiative with extensive experience working on international criminal law at international tribunals. The training addressed the elements of crime of the core international crimes as per the Rome Statute (genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes), as well as modes of liability and other international standards concerning evidence management and storage. During the training, the staff from different units of CIGE had the opportunity to further their experience and knowledge on the matter, and explore ways to integrate best practices from different international justice initiatives to their daily work.
